semester reflection

I. The quality of my work is good. I use proper format and like to edit my image to make my subject stand out. I like to blur the backgrounds and take out the color to make them black and white. I have turned in my work to meet the deadlines and always trying to avoid the mainstream ideas. My pictures are in focus, especially on the targeted subject but I will sometimes blur backgrounds to make them stand out or take out the saturation. My work goes along with what we are supposed to be focusing on and like to add my own twist t thinks like the spaceship project. In the drivers seat of the plane is my dog. I like to put in effort in to my work. My work reflects the amount of effort I put into it. I will shoot more than is required if I feel it is necessary. I don't always immediately go to the most convenient solution and won't avoid things if they are difficult although I don't enjoy it. I don't give up if a shoot doesn't turn out good, I will just take more un

the last girl response

The painting is of a little girl with big, round, greenish-blueish eyes. She is white complected with pinkish lips and she almost is pouting but not quite. Her hair is light brown with blond streaks and she is staring out at us. Her eyebrows are light brown and separated at the center. The image is huge and painted on the side of a building. There are men standing at the base of the building next to a blue van. The painting looks like it was painted in a neighborhood that has graffiti on the sides of buildings. The image is split. You can tell because there is crinkling by both the outer corners of her eyes. The meaning changes because the man is no longer part of the picture. We have a title which we can assume is describing the picture. The girl looks serious and alert with a hint of melancholy. It looks like it is located in the rural areas of town that are abandoned, by the docks. The targeted audience would be those living in the poorer parts of town. I get the feeling it is tryin

eye picture response

The picture is of a women's eye, nose and top of her lip. There is a small man by the inner corner of her eyebrow. He is hanging on to her face with a rope. it looks like the man is scaling her face while she looks straight into the camera. The picture to me looks like an artistic image. The meaning to me is not clear but I fell like he was trying to communicate how hard it can be to actually get to know and understand someone. You are really little compared to them and need to work your way to the top to gain confidence.  The intent was to express a message through the size of the figures. The size shows how big and hard to overcome a person can be and it can make you feel really small.
